The new Sustainable Livelihoods Toolkit synthesizes and highlights key concepts from the recently released Introduction to Sustainable Livelihoods Online Course, including successful livelihood initiatives, community enterprises, and case studies from around the world. The toolkit provides considerations for advancing conservation towards co-management and lasting, substantial partnership with local communities and Indigenous Peoples.

The Sustainable Livelihoods Toolkit was developed in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC’s) Indigenous Peoples & Local Communities Team and the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program, drawing on TNC’s Indigenous & Community-Led Conservation ApproachGuide to Sustainable Livelihoods and Community Enterprises, and Voice, Choice, & Action Framework.
