Guide to Coral Reef Restoration: Optimizing Efficiency and Scale for In Situ Nurseries and Outplanting
The Coral Restoration Consortium’s Field-based Propagation Working Group has just released a Guide to Coral Reef Restoration: Optimizing Efficiency and Scale for In Situ Nurseries and Outplanting. The guide covers a range of topics including restoration planning, nursery set-up, stocking, maintenance and monitoring, and outplanting design and techniques. Whether you are just starting out or looking to scale up your coral restoration program, this guide is designed to support success across diverse goals, environments, and resource levels.
During two live webinars, authors of the new restoration guide provided an overview of guide highlights, followed by a panel discussion with restoration experts from across the Pacific, Western Indian Ocean, Middle East, and Caribbean to discuss decisions they made when establishing restoration programs.
A special thanks to all of our speakers, and thank you to the attendees for your thoughtful questions. Please explore the resources and webinar recordings below.
