Connect with the Network

For two decades, The Nature Conservancy's Reef Resilience Network has helped ensure that reefs and critical marine areas are effectively managed by strengthening the capacity of the people on the ground and in the water. We do this by providing the latest science and strategies, online and in-person trainings, and mentorship. Watch the video to learn more about how we work and our impact.

Member Spotlight

Jahson Alemu

Former Coral Reef Research Officer, Institute of Marine Affairs, Trinidad and Tobago

We first met Jahson in 2010 as a young marine scientist when he attended the Reef Resilience Train the Trainers Workshop in Florida. Trinidad and Tobago were undergoing mass bleaching events and other ecosystem challenges, and the Network helped Jahson address these challenges and develop tangible management actions. Following the workshop, Jahson developed the first coral bleaching and resilience plan for Trinidad and Tobago. “I still reach out to peers I met at the Network’s workshops and trainings 15 years ago for guidance, advice, and to help the next generation of scientists make connections,” said Jahson.
