Thank you for joining us to learn about MERMAID, a global platform for coral reef monitoring. By simplifying field data collection and analysis, MERMAID enhances workflow efficiency and enables rapid assessment of reef health. We invite you to view the recording and explore MERMAID, which now helps more than 2,000 scientists from 70+ organizations across 46 countries to collect, analyze, and act on coral reef data. If you do not have access to YouTube, please email us at resilience@tnc.org for a copy of the recording.

During this webinar, Dr. Emily Darling, Director of Coral Reef Conservation and Co-Founder of MERMAID at Wildlife Conservation Society, provided an overview of the MERMAID platform and shared new features that will be launching in 2025. Dr. Rita Bento, Research Associate at NYU Abu Dhabi, highlighted how MERMAID is helping to centralize coral reef data from the Arabian/Persian Gulf for global reporting. Dr. Angelique Brathwaite, Science Director at Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas, shared how MERMAID is supporting monitoring small-scale marine protected areas in the Philippines.

This webinar is brought to you by the Reef Resilience Network and OCTO, in collaboration with the International Coral Reef Initiative as part of their #ForCoral webinar series.
