New webinar series featuring “building blocks” of resilience-based management from around the globe, held by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation’s Resilient Reefs Initiative in cooperation with the Reef Resilience Network. Explore the presentation recordings:
The Resilient Reefs Initiative is a global initiative to support coral reefs – and the communities that depend on them – to adapt to climate change and local threats. Working with five World Heritage sites, we bring together local partners and global resilience experts to innovate, build capacity and drive a whole-of-community approach to the challenges facing our treasured reefs and communities. Our partnership with sites includes:
- Support in the creation and funding of a new Chief Resilience Officer (CRO)
- Technical support and capacity building in the development of a holistic Resilience Strategy
- Connection to a global Knowledge Network, including reef sites and world experts
- Initial funding to implement actions identified in the Resilience Strategy
