Katie Velasco from Rare’s Center for Behavior & the Environment explained how to use behavior centered design to develop feasible strategies for addressing the problem of ocean sewage pollution. Katie shared how to get people to change or engage in a specific behavior, including examples related to ocean sewage mitigation. She provided guidance on how to incorporate these behavior-based solutions into management activities. After the presentation, she was joined by Rare colleague Philipe Bujold and The Nature Conservancy’s Stephanie Wear for a Q&A session with the audience.
