The Reef Resilience Network is excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the upcoming Coral Reef Management Mentored Online Course. The course will be held May 11 – 29, 2026. This online training opportunity is free and open to all.

Course topics include coral reef ecology, the drivers and impacts of climate-related and local threats, and approaches for assessing, managing, and monitoring reef health. The course has been updated for 2026, including new material on the impacts of mass coral bleaching and expanded guidance on monitoring bleaching events.

Whether you are early in your career or a more experienced marine manager, this mentored course offers the latest science and strategies for effective management, along with opportunities to connect with experts and fellow managers through live webinars and exclusive online discussion forums.

Important Dates

  • April 27 – May 10: Enrollment is open. Visit the Course Pre-work tile to watch the Course Orientation Video.
  • Week of May 11: Course begins. Complete Lessons 1 and 2 and participate in the discussion forum with mentors and other participants. Two live webinars will be held for different time zones/regions.
  • Week of May 18: Complete Lessons 3 and 4. Two live webinars will be held for different time zones/regions.
  • Week of May 25: Complete any remaining lesson work and participate in the discussion forum with mentors and other participants. Complete the course survey download your certificate of completion.
